SpaceX is reportedly aiming to raise $40 billion in a major financing push to acquire Nvidia chips. According to the Financial Times, the effort is being led by asset manager Apollo Global Management and involves discussions with a range of investors. The Elon Musk-led company is seeking approximately $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade debt to fund the chip purchase.

Apollo is expected to play a central role in structuring the deal and selling the debt to investors, with bond fund Pimco reportedly among those in talks to finance the transaction. The report suggests that the deal is anticipated to close by 2027.

SpaceX, Apollo, Nvidia, and Pimco have not yet responded to requests for comment on the matter.
