SpaceX Lands $13.32 Billion Per Year Cloud Computing Deal with Undisclosed Customer
SpaceX has secured another massive cloud computing agreement with an undisclosed customer. According to Business Insider, the deal will pay SpaceX approximately $1.11 billion per month starting December 1, 2026. The contract represents a significant expansion of SpaceX's emerging AI infrastructure and compute-hosting business.
The new agreement was disclosed by SpaceX Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnsen during Goldman Sachs' Communacopia + Technology conference. While the identity of the customer remains undisclosed, the deal further diversifies SpaceX's revenue beyond launch services, Starlink satellite connectivity, and government contracts.
This is not the first major compute agreement for SpaceX. The company has already secured deals with Anthropic and Google. Anthropic will pay $1.25 billion per month for computing capacity supporting its Claude AI models, while Google agreed to pay approximately $920 million per month for access to computing infrastructure.
With this new contract, SpaceX's compute business continues to grow rapidly. The company is monetizing some of its data center infrastructure by renting computing resources to outside customers. This expansion comes with substantial capital requirements, with SpaceX spending approximately $16 billion on AI infrastructure during the second quarter of 2026.
