SpaceX Set to Launch Final Three O3b mPOWER Satellites
SpaceX is set to launch its oldest commercial customer SES's final three O3b mPOWER satellites on Sunday afternoon from Florida. The trio of satellites, built by Boeing, will be carried into medium Earth orbit by a Falcon 9 rocket.
The mission, known as O3b mPOWER-F, marks the completion of the O3b mPOWER constellation, which will consist of 13 spacecraft in total. The first two satellites were launched on December 16, 2022, with subsequent pairs launching in April and November 2023, December 2024, and July 2025.
Boeing technicians stacked the final three satellites for delivery to SES prior to launch. According to SES, the performance of the 10 satellites already on orbit validates the architecture of the O3b mPOWER system.
