SPEEA Members Ratify Boeing Contract, Averting Possible Strike
The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) has ratified a four-year contract offer from Boeing, averting a possible strike. The agreement was approved by 67.62% of professional unit members and 53.48% of technical unit members.
The new contract includes a 10% guaranteed wage increase effective October 2, followed by a 4% increase in March 2027. Additionally, there will be 6% wage pools for the years 2028-2030, with a guarantee of 4% and selective distribution of the remaining 2%. This represents an average pay increase of 32% over four years.
The contract also enhances health care provisions, provides additional paid leave, and revises language on remote work, overtime limits, and career planning. Boeing estimated that average base salaries will rise from $152,000 to $208,000 for professional-unit employees and from $119,000 to $163,000 for technical-unit employees over the life of the contracts.
