SPIE Taps Microsoft's Fabric IQ for Data-Driven Building Management
SPIE, a leading European provider of multi-technical services in energy and communications, has partnered with Microsoft to leverage the new Fabric IQ capabilities. This technology allows SPIE to create digital representations of buildings, integrating data from various systems and giving it meaning and context.
According to Barry Tuip, Manager PULSE CORE Digital Twins & Data Analytics at SPIE Nederland, 'The real value emerges when you not only have data, but also understand what that data means and how everything is connected.'
By using Microsoft Fabric IQ, SPIE captures not only data but also the relationships between different data points. This creates a digital twin, providing AI with the context it needs to understand data and its connections.
Evert Lemmen, CEO of SPIE Nederland, sees this approach as part of SPIE's broader digital strategy: 'For us, data is not the end goal. It is about putting data into the right context and using it to make better decisions.'
