Spirit Airlines Tussles with Honeywell Over $24 Million Aircraft Parts Dispute
Spirit Airlines Inc., which is winding down operations, has agreed to resolve competing claims from Honeywell Aerospace US and others over ownership of various aircraft parts in Spirit's possession.
The agreement comes after Honeywell urged the court to allow it to recover $24 million worth of aircraft equipment that it alleges belongs to it. The dispute will go to an evidentiary hearing on September 9.
Honeywell is concerned about its property, according to Deborah D. Williamson of Dykema Gossett PLLC, who represents the company in this matter.
