Spirit Lake Coca-Cola Bottling Facility Relocates to East Lake Industrial Park

A historic Coca-Cola bottling facility in Spirit Lake is relocating to a new site on the outskirts of town. The Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company's Spirit Lake Distribution facility has been serving about 1,100 customers since 2016. According to Jeff Heinrichs, General Manager of Atlantic Bottling Spirit Lake, the new facility will allow them to better serve those customers through modernized operations.

The current facility at 18th Street and Jackson Avenue in downtown Spirit Lake has stood since 1948. The move is slated for November this year, with all 36 employees relocating to the new site in phases throughout November and December. Heinrichs also notes that the relocation will eliminate traffic congestion caused by trucks backing up to loading docks.

The company is currently in talks with potential buyers or lessees for the old facility once the move is complete.
