Spooners Mourn Loss of Longtime Resident Nancy Carol Marshall
Nancy Carol Marshall, an 82-year-old resident of Spooner, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on July 8, 2026. Born on August 24, 1943, in Grantsburg, WI, she was the daughter of Axel and Elsie (Abrahamson) Rubin. Nancy grew up in Siren, WI, where she formed a strong foundation for her values.
In 1962, Nancy married Myron Marshall, with whom she spent 63 years together. They had a long and fulfilling life, with Nancy working at various institutions including Honeywell, Stresau Labs, and Shell Lake State Bank, from which she retired in 2011.
Nancy's greatest joy was her family, and she took immense pride in being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also had a passion for sports, particularly cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and was an active member of the Spooner Church of the Nazarene.
