SRS Doubles Down on HVAC with Lohmiller Acquisition
SRS Distribution is doubling down on HVAC with its latest acquisition of Denver-based Lohmiller & Company, a wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies serving residential and commercial customers through four Colorado locations. Founded in 1990, Lohmiller employs 220 people and distributes Carrier Corp.'s residential, light commercial, and applied HVAC products.
The deal follows SRS' May acquisition of Mingledorff's, a 42-location HVAC distributor serving five Southeastern states. With this new acquisition, SRS is expanding its nascent HVAC platform, which CEO Dan Tinker described as 'the second addition to our nascent HVAC platform.'
The Home Depot acquired SRS in mid-2024 for approximately $18 billion and has since used it to acquire specialty building products distributor GMS for $5.5 billion in 2025. The strategy behind these acquisitions is to increase the company's share of wallet by offering large Pros more products, fulfillment, and trade services across the full project.
