ST Engineering and Collins Aerospace Strengthen Component Support Partnership
Singapore-based ST Engineering has deepened its collaboration with Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, through three multi-year agreements. The deals enhance component support for airline operators by integrating original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) expertise.
The agreements cover new Boeing 787 component repair support, broader OEM spare parts support, and continued lifecycle repair support for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 LRUs. ST Engineering will provide repair services for Collins fan assembly electronics boards used on the 787, reducing Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) repair turnaround times.
The agreements are part of ST Engineering's Maintenance-By-the-Hour program, which offers customers in-house component MRO capabilities for various aircraft types. Poon Kok Wah, SVP and Head of Component Services at ST Engineering, stated that the collaboration brings together OEM expertise and lifecycle MRO strengths to better support airline operators worldwide.
