United Airlines has secured financing worth $390 million from Standard Chartered to purchase aircraft. The funding, announced by Standard Chartered on August 11, 2026, will support four Airbus A321neo and five Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets.

Standard Chartered acted as the lead arranger and initial lender for the transaction, which is valued at approximately $390 million. According to Abhishek Pandey, Global Head of Transportation Finance at Standard Chartered, 'We are pleased to build on our relationship with United Airlines through this latest financing.'

The UK-based bank said that the financing will aid in United's ongoing fleet optimization and fuel efficiency strategy. United previously worked with Standard Chartered in 2025 to arrange aircraft financing.
