Stanley Capital Management LLC Puts Big Bet on American Express

American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) has seen significant investment from various institutional investors and hedge funds, according to recent SEC filings. Stanley Capital Management LLC acquired a new stake in American Express during the second quarter, purchasing approximately $16.52 million worth of shares.

The firm acquired 48,830 shares of American Express's stock, which comprises about 2.2% of its portfolio and is its 21st biggest position. This is not an isolated incident, as several other institutional investors have also increased their stakes in the payment services company.

Evolution Wealth Management Inc., for example, grew its position in shares of American Express by a staggering 6,600%, purchasing an additional 66 shares during the period. Other investors, such as Joseph Group Capital Management, Sfam LLC, Caitong International Asset Management Co. Ltd, and Wilkerson Advisory Group LLC, have also acquired new stakes in American Express.
