Alphabet's recent earnings report was met with a 7% decline in stock price, but one financial expert sees this as an opportunity to buy. The company's record quarter featured a 199% beat on earnings per share (EPS) and 24% revenue growth to $120B.

The expert points out that Alphabet's Google Cloud business has finally reached profit scale, with revenue growing 82% to $24.768 billion and operating income more than tripling year over year to $8.8 billion.

Additionally, the company's search franchise is being fed by AI, rather than cannibalized, with Search and Other revenue hitting $63.271 billion, up 17% year over year.

The expert notes that while the capital plan may pose a risk, with free cash flow coming in at negative $5.855 billion due to doubled CapEx, the spend is already producing a cloud segment throwing off $8.8 billion in quarterly operating income.
