Steve Yoo Expresses Pride for Nephew's Military Enlistment Amid Ongoing Visa Battles

Korean-American singer Steve Yoo, whose stage name is Yoo Seung Jun, recently shared a heartfelt message on social media. He was expressing his pride in his nephew Harry's upcoming enlistment in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps.

In the post, Yoo reflected on his own life journey and how it has been blessed by God. He mentioned that despite losing everything when he left South Korea, he now has a family with four beautiful children who surround him with love.

The news about Harry's enlistment comes as a reminder of Yoo's long-running struggle to enter South Korea. Due to his failure to fulfill his mandatory military service in 2002, he was restricted from entering the country under the Immigration Control Act.

Yoo has been involved in multiple legal battles over the years, including administrative lawsuits and appeals to the Supreme Court. In 2019, the court ruled in Yoo's favor, stating that the Los Angeles consulate had erred by refusing to issue him a visa based on the Ministry of Justice's entry restriction.
