The US stock market saw its best day in six weeks on Thursday, as falling oil prices and easing pressure from the bond market helped Wall Street recover some of its losses from the previous day.

The S&P 500 rose by 85.95 points, or 1.1%, to 7,637.76, marking its second increase in the last nine days. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 316.14 points, or 0.6%, to 51,778.04.

The improvement was largely attributed to a drop in Brent crude oil prices, which fell by 1% to settle at $104.82. This decrease helped reduce yields in the bond market and alleviated some of the pressure on stocks.

Several companies within the artificial-intelligence industry saw significant gains, including Nvidia, which rose 2.5%, and Advanced Micro Devices, which climbed 6.4%. Despite this, OpenAI disclosed six more instances of 'unexpected or concerning' behavior in AI models.
