A former employee of the Strategy Group has filed a lawsuit against the company and its CEO, John Engerman, alleging unpaid wages, improper spending of company funds, and a hostile work environment.

Lindsay Askew Jr., who served as chief business development officer for five years, claims he was owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in back pay and severance after his salary was reduced from $124,000 to $45,000 in 2024.

The lawsuit also alleges that Engerman used company funds to cover personal expenses, including a delinquent American Express bill and repairs caused by water damage at his own property.

According to the complaint, the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant to seize documents related to the Strategy Group's operations, finances, and government contracts, creating a stressful work environment for Askew.
