Alexa Gets a Personality Makeover with New Voice Options

Amazon has rolled out new features for Alexa users, allowing them to change their voice and personality. Eligible users can now experiment with eight different voice types and several intriguing personalities, such as Sassy, Chill, and Original. These customization options do not affect the accuracy of Alexa's responses.

The new voice and personality options are available to Alexa+ or Amazon Prime members. Users can change their voice by saying 'Alexa, change your voice' or through the Alexa app on their device. The voice settings only apply to the specific device being used, so users will need to repeat the process for other devices if they want a consistent voice throughout their home.

Alexa's personality styles include Brief, Chill, Sweet, and Sassy, among others. These styles change how Alexa responds without affecting its functionality. Users can switch between these styles by saying 'Alexa, change your personality style' or through the app.

It's worth noting that the new voice and personality options do not replace the celebrity voices that were previously available for Alexa devices. Those voices are no longer supported and have been replaced by the current voice types and personalities.
