Sumitomo Life Insures $4.32 Million Stake in American Express

Sumitomo Life Insurance Co. has invested $4.32 million in American Express Company, purchasing 12,756 shares of its stock in the second quarter.

This is not the only major investment in American Express; other institutional investors have also added to or reduced their stakes in the company.

BlackRock Inc., for example, bought a new stake in American Express during the second quarter worth about $14.208 billion, while State Street Corp increased its position by 1.3% and now owns over 29 million shares of American Express stock valued at $10.9 billion.
