Switzerland 13th on European Cyber Attack List
Switzerland has been ranked 13th among European countries most impacted by cyber activity in the first half of 2026, according to Microsoft's data. Globally, it ranked 39th.
The report from Microsoft also highlights that Ukraine was the most affected country in Europe, followed closely by the United Kingdom and Germany.
Experts warn that organizations need to prepare for a rapidly evolving threat landscape shaped by artificial intelligence, identity-based attacks, and increasingly interconnected digital ecosystems.
‘Cyber risks rarely exist in isolation,' said Marc Holitscher, National Technology Officer at Microsoft Switzerland. ‘Attackers increasingly exploit identities and trusted digital connections across organizations, platforms, and supply chains.'
