SYNTHIA Rises to the Challenge of Complex Molecule Synthesis
A new retrosynthetic platform called SYNTHIA is making waves in the world of chemistry by allowing scientists to design routes to complex molecules faster than ever.
SYNTHIA uses expert-coded reaction knowledge and scalable algorithms to accelerate pathway design, unlike other platforms that function more like statistical predictors.
In a recent webinar, Merck specialist Angelo Lanzilotto presented a large-scale evaluation of SYNTHIA's performance across three major chemical industries: pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and flavours & fragrances.
The software was challenged to identify synthetic routes starting from a library of 14 million commercially available chemicals, using representative datasets spanning drug candidates, crop-protection ingredients, and fragrance compounds.
