Tangaroa Terrace Permit Hints at Possible Return to Guest Use
A new permit has been filed for Tangaroa Terrace at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, raising hopes that the standalone building may return to guest use. The Notice of Commencement (NoC) comes from Facility Asset Management (FAM), with KHS&S listed as the contractor.
The scope is listed as general conditions, and the permit runs until December 31, 2027. An expiration date that long usually points to a larger project rather than a quick patch job.
While FAM permits typically cover infrastructure upkeep, they have shifted into Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) territory before. Tangaroa Terrace has held several different roles over the years, including as a buffet restaurant and Neverland Club for kids.
