Romanian flag carrier TAROM has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737-8 from CDB Aviation, an Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing.

The aircraft marks the beginning of a fleet renewal program that aims to improve operational efficiency and enhance the passenger experience by replacing older models with more modern ones.

TAROM plans to add four 737-8 aircraft under a mix of operating and finance leases, with the first two leased from CDB Aviation. The second delivery is expected this autumn.
