Romania's national airline Tarom has reached an important milestone in its fleet expansion. The first of four Boeing 737 MAX aircraft destined for its fleet has successfully completed its first test flight. According to Economica.net, this marks a significant step in the pre-delivery preparation process.

The second Boeing MAX is expected to arrive at Tarom's fleet in early September, with two more scheduled for delivery in the spring of next year. This is part of Tarom's efforts to modernize its fleet and improve services.

Interim Minister of Transport Radu Miruță has announced plans to notify the European Commission about Tarom's situation, aiming to convince decision-makers that the national operator is viable.
