Tata Boeing Aerospace Hits 400 Apache Fuselage Milestone Amid Defense Co-Production Deals

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited, has hit a significant milestone in its production of Apache helicopter fuselages. The Hyderabad-based facility produced its 400th Indian-made Apache fuselage, marking a major achievement for the company.

The AH-64E Apache helicopters are supplied to various countries, including the US Army and the Indian Army, which received six Apaches in 2025. India's Air Force currently operates a fleet of 22 such helicopters.

Founded in 2016, TBAL employs over 750 engineers and technicians who utilize advanced technologies to produce fuselage aerostructures for the Apache helicopter. The manufacturing capability highlights the integration of India's aerospace ecosystem into global defence supply chains.

The company has also been selected as the prime partner for co-producing the Javelin All Up Round (AUR) missile in India, alongside Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. This collaboration aims to establish a dedicated final assembly and integration facility in India, creating local high-tech jobs and sustaining manufacturing positions in the United States.
