Teams and M365 Redirects Underway: Update Your Firewalls

Microsoft is redirecting users of its popular services Teams and M365 to new addresses, starting this month. The company has announced that web users will be redirected to copilot.cloud.microsoft for Copilot and teams.cloud.microsoft for Teams. The move affects organizations using these products, which need to update their systems and documentation to ensure continued access.

Microsoft has advised customers to review configurations on client devices, proxies, firewalls, secure web gateways, or other enterprise network controls to confirm that users can connect to the new addresses. Companies experiencing trouble connecting should check that their environment aligns with the recommended network requirements for Microsoft 365 Copilot.

The company has also suggested using its TenantRestrictions control to prevent employees from accessing their personal Microsoft accounts through the new address. All redirects are expected to be completed by early October, and companies unable to meet this deadline should contact their account representative for assistance.
