Tech Data Expands IBM Distribution Across Asia Pacific, Reaching Ten Markets
Tech Data has expanded its IBM distribution footprint across Asia Pacific, extending its specialized IBM practice to ten markets in the region. The expansion adds Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Philippines to existing operations in Australia, India, Singapore, and Vietnam.
In Malaysia, the business will operate under the Tec D brand. This move is part of parent company TD SYNNEX's broader expansion of its IBM distribution relationship across Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America, covering 20 new countries globally.
The rollout brings Select Blue, a joint initiative with IBM, to the newly added markets. Select Blue is designed to help partners build repeatable practices in areas including artificial intelligence, data, and automation. Partners will also have access to enablement, financing, pre-sales, and go-to-market support.
Tech Data's President Jaideep Malhotra described the move as an extension of an existing regional relationship with IBM: 'This expansion reflects the continued strength of the partnership between Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, and IBM across Asia Pacific.'
