Tech Execs Make Moves to Niantic Spatial, Stripe, and More

Niantic Spatial has hired Dave Citron as its new chief product officer. Citron joins from Microsoft AI, where he was corporate vice president of product on the Superintelligence team and helped build and launch Microsoft's first frontier foundation models.

Citron also worked at Google DeepMind, contributing to the development of the Gemini app. He has a long history with Microsoft, starting in 2005 and helping take OneDrive from its initial release to over 200 million monthly users.

He noted that 'AI is remarkably good at reading and writing, but it still doesn't understand the physical world well enough to act in it safely.'
