Tech Giants Pledge $23 Million to Expand AI Education Globally
Amazon and Google have joined forces with First Lady Melania Trump's initiative to expand access to artificial intelligence education worldwide. The effort, called Fostering the Future Together, aims to bring new technology to millions of students through private-sector partnerships.
The participating companies have committed over $23 million in resources, tools, and expertise to support the initiative. Amazon plans to expand free access to its Kiro AI coding assistant, targeting 5 million students across 132 universities. Its AWS Academy will provide free training opportunities to more than 2 million students.
Google has committed $4 million to expanding its AI-focused Educator Series internationally. Intel plans to deploy technology across 10 countries, while Adobe will provide students worldwide with free AI-powered study and creative tools through Student Spaces. Zoom Cares is allocating $2.75 million in AI for Good grants across Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.
The agreements build on Fostering the Future Together's mission of expanding children's access to technology, education, and digital skills through international public-private partnerships. Investors should monitor actual enrollment and platform usage to determine whether expanded educational access translates into sustained institutional adoption for participating companies like Amazon and Google.
