Tech Giants Sign Off on Trump's AI Safety Accord with Stringent Controls
A group of big tech CEOs has signed off on U.S. President Donald Trump's 'White House Accord on Super Intelligence', which focuses on the responsible development and training of frontier AI models.
The agreement, announced by Trump through his Truth Social platform, was signed by several prominent figures in the tech industry, including Sundar Pichai from Google, Mark Zuckerberg from Meta, Elon Musk from SpaceXAI, and Dario Amodei from Anthropic.
The commitment outlines four key layers of controls and audits to ensure the safety of AI models. These include implementing internal controls, empowering an internal team for monitoring, partnering with external auditors, and designating a board committee for oversight.
The signees agreed to meet regularly to establish best practices for improving AI model safety. The document also suggests that these measures may eventually be codified into laws or regulations.
