Tech Pros Get Retirement Planning Tool With AI-Powered Simulator
A free financial planning platform called Appleseed Planner has been launched by former Google product manager Adam Waaramaa. The tool allows tech professionals to model their retirement plans using an advisor-grade Monte Carlo simulator, which can provide results in just five minutes.
The platform was born out of personal frustration for Waaramaa and his wife, who were trying to calculate whether she could safely quit her job. Existing financial tools were deemed inadequate, either being too simplistic or requiring manual inputs and research.
Appleseed Planner automates life-event modeling, including expenses such as maintenance, insurance, and college tuition, allowing users to build a retirement plan quickly and efficiently. The tool also includes features like Adaptive Spending, which models how people tighten their budgets during market downturns.
