Tech Stocks Lead Market Gains as Nvidia, Salesforce Exceed Expectations
The stock market saw gains on Thursday, led by technology stocks after Nvidia and Salesforce reported stronger-than-expected profits for the quarter.
Nvidia's shares surged 8.7% after the chipmaker delivered robust profit and revenue results, and provided forecasts that exceeded analysts' estimates.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated, 'AI has reached its inflection point, it's doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable.'
Salesforce also reported a strong quarter, with shares rising 22.6% after the software company said AI helped it deliver one of its best quarters in history.
