Techcyte Brings Real-Time Collaboration to Pathology with Microsoft Teams Integration

Techcyte has rolled out Microsoft Teams meetings directly within its Fusion AP platform for anatomic and clinical pathology. The integration allows users to start a call from within the slide viewer, facilitating live communication via voice and/or video.

According to Joe Marbach, Product Manager at Techcyte, this feature is particularly useful in frozen section workflows where pathologists, operating room staff, and surgeons can initiate calls directly from inside the case. This eliminates the need for OR intercoms or phones.

The Microsoft Teams integration also enables remote consultations and trainee reviews to start within the slide viewer, allowing one-on-one or group meetings via voice and video.

Techcyte has stated that it will further invest in integrating other Microsoft tools, such as Chat, into the Fusion platform. Additionally, support for other enterprise productivity suites is planned.
