Telangana Partners with HCCB on Bokkala Vagu Check Dam Beautification Initiative
On August 3rd in Manthani, Peddapalli District, Telangana, Hon'ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs Shri D. Sridhar Babu launched the Bokkala Vagu Check Dam Beautification Initiative.
The project is a partnership between the government of Telangana and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) under its flagship community partnership program Project SHINE.
Manthani, located on the banks of the Godavari River, has a rich history of water management dating back nearly two thousand years. The initiative aims to build on this legacy by improving a vital community water resource for local communities in the Manthani region.
The project will undertake several improvements around the Bokkala Vagu Check Dam to enhance community infrastructure and amenities, making it a more accessible and welcoming public space for local residents.
