Tepper Bets Big on AI Infrastructure with Top Five Holdings
Billionaire investor David Tepper's top five holdings have been revealed in his latest 13F filing. The Appaloosa LP portfolio is anchored by five mega-cap AI names, including Amazon (AMZN), Micron Technology (MU), NVIDIA (NVDA), Meta Platforms (META), and Alphabet (GOOG).
Amazon remains Tepper's largest holding at 15.42% of the portfolio, valued at approximately $1.19 billion across 5 million shares. In contrast, Micron held the second slot with a 14.57% stake worth around $1.13 billion in 975,000 shares.
However, Tepper has cut his Micron share count by 41%, a move seen as profit-taking after the stock's recent run. Meanwhile, he added to Meta and Alphabet, increasing his positions by $130 million and $157 million respectively.
The common thread among these holdings is AI infrastructure monetization, with Amazon's Q2 earnings report providing validation. AWS revenue surged 37% year-over-year, while NVIDIA's Data Center segment hit $75 billion, up 92%. Meta also posted strong ad revenue, despite an EPS miss.
