Ternus Takes Helm at Apple as BofA Sees Bolder Strategy Ahead
Apple's CEO transition to John Ternus is set to take place on September 1, marking the end of Tim Cook's 15-year leadership. During Cook's tenure, Apple's free cash flow expanded more than fourfold and shareholders enjoyed a total return exceeding 2,700% since 2011.
Bank of America maintains its Buy rating for Apple stock with a $380 price objective, anticipating Ternus will pursue a bolder strategy featuring increased research and development investments, higher capital expenditures, and potentially larger M&A deals.
The tech giant's latest quarterly results revealed earnings per share of $2.02 alongside $109.42 billion in sales, marking a 16.4% annual increase. Analysts remain optimistic about Apple's future prospects, with some predicting the company will expand into emerging product segments such as AI-powered eyewear and camera-integrated AirPods.
