Texas Judge Trims Boeing 737 Max Damages for Southwest Pilots

A Texas Business Court judge has narrowed down the scope of claims brought by the Southwest Airlines pilots union against The Boeing Co. in connection with the grounding of the 737 Max aircraft.

The judge ruled that the pilots can only recover direct damages, excluding damages from secondary injuries, according to a decision made on September 29, 2026.
