Thai Airways Unveils Premium Business Class Seat Rollout for 2027
Thai Airways is revamping its business class experience to offer a consistent and premium product across its fleet. Starting in 2027, the airline will roll out its new Thompson Aero VantageNOVA platform on Boeing 777s, Boeing 787s, and Airbus A350s.
The seat design features a reverse herringbone configuration with sliding privacy doors, direct aisle access, and a zero-G seat position that tilts and lowers the body while raising the legs. The business class plus section will offer four suites, 32-inch screens, companion seating, and the option to convert the middle two suites into a shared space for up to four passengers.
The retrofit process will begin with Thai's oldest airframes, the Boeing 777-300ER, which will receive new business class seats, fresh lighting, wall panels, and galley kitchens. The first-class product will be phased out entirely as part of the changeover, affecting only three aircraft currently.
