Thai Boeing 737 Max Jets Cleared to Fly After US Airworthiness Directive Review

The Thai aviation authority has confirmed that all 12 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft operating in Thailand are unaffected by a recent US airworthiness directive.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), the directive, issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on August 10, requires inspections of part of the forward service-door structure on certain Boeing 737 MAX aircraft due to structural cracks found overseas.

The CAAT reviewed the Thai-based fleet and compared the line and serial numbers of all 12 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in Thailand with the technical information and aircraft range covered by the FAA directive, finding none to be affected.
