Thales, Google Cloud Bolster AI Security with Gemini Partnership

Thales and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to enhance AI security on the Gemini platform. The Thales AI Security Fabric has been integrated with the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, providing real-time security, governance, and visibility into interactions among users, agents, models, and tools.

The collaboration addresses a growing challenge as companies deploy AI agents in production. Unlike traditional applications, these agents do not follow a predefined workflow; they reason, plan, and make decisions independently, communicating with other agents.

This creates new attack surfaces that traditional security architectures struggle to keep up with, according to Thales. The company cites risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, unsafe outputs, unauthorized actions, and increasingly complex agent-to-agent interactions.
