Theatre Major Lands 'Happiest Internship on Earth' at Disney
Lilly Kate Farrar, a junior majoring in theatre at Columbus State University, has landed what she calls 'the happiest internship on Earth' at Disney's Walt Disney World in Orlando. She is one of 11 theatre majors from her university participating in the competitive Disney College Program this fall.
Farrar's journey to Columbus State began at Tallulah Falls School, where she helped organize a trip to the Georgia Thespian Conference in Columbus. The conference brought together over 6,000 high school drama students and inspired Farrar to pursue theatre as her major.
Before her first official day of college classes, Farrar earned international academic credit at the Spencer House, a study-abroad residence in Oxford, England. She quickly immersed herself in campus life, starring in departmental productions such as Pinkalicious The Musical and Finding Nemo: The Musical.
Farrar's relationship with Disney began when she was chosen for the Disney Dreamers Academy in 2024. She encouraged her classmates to apply for the competitive Disney College Program, which she felt would give them valuable practical experience.
