Thief Caught in the Act at Disney's Art of Animation Resort

A brazen thief was caught in the act on Monday afternoon at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, a Value hotel within Walt Disney World Resort.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about grand theft at the resort at 12:22 p.m. on August 3, 2026. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the call log on X (formerly known as Twitter), which displayed a pin in the center of Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

While it is unclear exactly what was stolen or where the theft occurred, law enforcement has yet to make any arrests following the grand theft report. Operations at Disney's Art of Animation Resort continued normally on Monday, with bus and Disney Skyliner transportation available to nearby theme parks.
