Tinubu Hails Coca-Cola's Proposed $1bn Investment in Nigeria
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has welcomed Coca-Cola's proposed $1 billion investment in the country over five years. The commitment is seen as a vote of confidence in Nigeria's economy.
Tinubu spoke at the 75th anniversary event of the Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, where he assured local and international investors that Nigeria remains open for business. His administration is working to create a more predictable, competitive, and investment-friendly environment.
The President highlighted the importance of reliable power and infrastructure, clear regulations, efficient ports and logistics, access to foreign exchange, and a tax system that encourages productive enterprise.
Tinubu emphasized that his administration is interested in investments that have a positive impact on employment, skills development, local sourcing, technology transfer, and domestic productive capacity. He challenged businesses and policymakers to increase local content and develop Nigerian companies into dependable suppliers.
