TJC Apaches Fight Back for Crucial Win Over Cisco College
The Tyler Junior College (TJC) Apaches secured a crucial three-point win over Cisco College in their Southwest Junior College Football Conference match, improving their season record to 4-1.
The game was closely contested throughout, with both teams trading scores and neither able to gain a significant lead until the final quarter. The turning point came when De'cannan Sueing recovered an onside kick attempt by Cisco with just 42 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, securing the win for TJC.
TJC's victory was fueled by their strong ground attack, which saw multiple players contribute to the effort. Khalil Ewell led the charge with 86 yards on five carries, while Gavin Black added 73 yards and a touchdown in the third quarter. Quarterback Luke Ullrich completed 11 of 23 passes for 86 yards, including a crucial 24-yard touchdown pass to Bradyn Walker.
The Apaches' defense also played a key role in the win, with Jaydon Anderson intercepting a Cisco pass and returning it 59 yards for a touchdown. TJC's Jalen Jones also had an interception earlier in the game that set up a field goal for Moore.
