Tomorrowland Troubles: Disneyland's Neglect Exposed

Disneyland's attendance has been dwindling due to high temperatures and Magic Key holder blockouts. As a result, park-goers are noticing closed carts and reduced offerings.

The biggest issue lies in Tomorrowland, where broken neon, abandoned construction projects, and a PeopleMover track collecting leaves for decades have become apparent. The land's neglect has been ongoing, with the unfinished new entrance remaining half-finished after its refurbishment.

Disney is expected to address the situation at D23, which starts on August 14. Rumors suggest that Disney may announce major changes to Tomorrowland, including restoring the original Mary Blair murals and reviving the PeopleMover. However, these are unconfirmed and no official plans have been announced.

Meanwhile, Disneyland's 70th anniversary celebrations will come to an end on August 9, with many of the special activations set to disappear. Magic Band touchpoints will also be decommissioned, and the 70th anniversary plastic key activations will cease to function.
