Top CEOs Sing Praises for Trump's Pro-Business Agenda
Top executives from major US companies are praising President Donald Trump's pro-business policies in a newly released video. The Treasury Department posted the one-minute clip on its X account, featuring interviews with CEOs from JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Eli Lilly, and John Deere at the G20 ministerial meeting in Asheville, North Carolina.
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said that deregulation has 'freed up capital' and made the system safer. He also mentioned that regulating for years is like having barnacles on a boat, hindering progress.
Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon praised the business environment created in the US over the past year and eight months, while Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks highlighted the 'profound' impact of Trump's agenda on his company. The CEOs collectively employ around 550,000 people and have combined revenue totaling about $376 billion.
The video aims to counter polls and public perception of the economy, which the Treasury Department says run contrary to actual data. The administration has pointed to robust economic growth, a rising stock market (up 20% over Trump's second term), and unemployment rates as low as 4.1%
