For diesel vehicle owners in the US and Canada, finding high-quality fuel can be a challenge. The Top Tier seal of approval is a guarantee that a fuel meets certain standards set by automakers like General Motors, Toyota, Honda, and BMW.

The list of approved Top Tier gasoline brands is long and includes big names like Chevron, Shell, bp, Exxon, and Marathon. However, the list of approved Top Tier diesel brands is much shorter, with only a few select locations of Costco Wholesale, Kirkland Signature, and Neste MY Renewable Diesel meeting the standard.
