Topo Chico Bubbles Back Onto Shelves After Months of Absence
Topo Chico, a sparkling mineral water with a loyal cult following, is finally returning to shelves after being unavailable for months. The beverage's absence was attributed to 'facility upgrades at the water source and production facilities in Mexico' by Coca-Cola.
In March, Topo Chico was announced as temporarily unavailable in the United States, leaving fans eager for its return. According to sources, the product is now beginning a phased return starting at select retailers across Texas.
A spokesperson for Coca-Cola stated that they are 'excited to bring [Topo Chico's] iconic bubbles back to shelves' with plans to expand to additional U.S. markets in 2027. The beverage has been spotted in stores around Texas, Oklahoma, and California, but its availability is still limited.
Coca-Cola acquired Topo Chico for $200 million in 2017, highlighting the brand's significant value and following. While some fans are celebrating the return of Topo Chico, others remain disappointed that it has not been made available in their market yet.
