Toromont Industries Posts Record Bookings Amid Strong Q2 Earnings
Toromont Industries Ltd., a major Caterpillar dealer in Canada, reported strong second-quarter results for 2026. Revenue rose by 16% to C$1,597.7 million and operating income increased by 41% to C$242.5 million.
The company's Equipment Group saw significant growth, with new equipment sales climbing by 31%, largely due to higher power systems revenue and mining deliveries. Rental revenue rose by 11% and product support revenue by 8%. Bookings for the quarter reached a record C$1.9 billion, up 196% from last year.
Toromont's financial position remains strong, with a net cash balance sheet of C$390.6 million at June 30, 2026. The company has been expanding its manufacturing arm through the acquisition of AVL Manufacturing and investing in capacity expansion. Analysts have raised their price targets for the stock, but risks remain due to tariffs, inflationary pressure, and general economic cycles.
