Toronto Tempo's Inaugural Season a 'Really Special' Experience for Kia Nurse
Kia Nurse reflects on her debut season playing for the Toronto Tempo in the WNBA. The team finished its first year with an 11-33 record, missing the playoffs but securing a high draft lottery spot.
Nurse, who averaged career lows in points, rebounds, and assists per game, spoke about the importance of having a WNBA team in Canada.
The Tempo sold out 15 home games at Coca-Cola Coliseum and drew a record crowd to their game in Montreal. Nurse said she's grateful for what they've built and excited for the next generation of young women in Canada.
