Transgender Funeral Director Accused of Stealing Millions from Deceased Man's Estate
Michael 'Unique' Green, a funeral director in Houston, Texas, has been accused of stealing millions of dollars from a deceased man's estate. Green, who identifies as transgender and goes by the name Unique M. Green, allegedly forged documents to transfer the man's assets, including his investment accounts, car, and home, to himself.
The will claiming the man left his entire estate to Green was filed months after the man had died, according to The Post Millennial. Green has a history of forgery charges dating back to 1998, including pleading guilty in 2007 to submitting fraudulent claims for FEMA funds using fake Social Security numbers and addresses.
When police searched Green's business as part of an investigation into the forgery charges, they found a Home Depot bucket filled with organs and 48 boxes of cremated human remains. Some families had been waiting on ashes and remains of their loved ones since 2023, after Green claimed to have conducted cremations.
